Sachsenhausen lies just south of the river and has plenty of charm, a culture melting pot and thus for good reason, is one of the most populated neighbourhoods in Frankfurt.

Firstly, the art lovers flock here for the magnificent museums (Museumsufer).Secondly, the coffee addicts come for the quaint cafes and its cafe culture.  And finally the social come for the many relaxed bars and restaurants which are peppered both along the river and within the heart of Sachsenhausen itself!  Sachsenhausen also plays host to some of the famous Apfelwein taverns which can be found along the Rittegasse pedestrian area.

Famous for its cobblestone streets, Schweizerstraße is the main street and has plenty of fantastic shopping.  Saying that though, if you looking for your typical high street brands Zeil is your best bet!

Popular with younger generations, apartments can be rented relatively cheaply with some apartments coming with glorious views of the river!
